Lanette Wright is a reputable dog breeder based in Danville, Vermont who has specialized in breeding beautiful Golden Retrievers since 1999. Growing up on a dairy farm in upstate New York, animals have always been a prominent factor in her life. Now, Lanette and her husband live on 250 acres in Danville where their animals have wide open spaces to run and explore.
Golden Retrievers have been Lanette's passion since 1997 she got her first Golden, who was named Mack. Lanette has enjoyed raising her children with Goldens and loves seeing and helping people get a puppy of their own. Some pups have been chosen for therapy dogs to go into nursing homes and cancer centers. Wright's Mountain Goldens dedicates themselves to making sure all of their pups are vet-checked and given a clean bill of health before they are placed in their new homes. From the early weeks of the puppies' lives, they become familiarized with human touch and contact. Wright's Mountain Goldens wish for all those who visit their location and wish to purchase a pup, is that they experience the joy and friendship that a dog can bring. |

Allissa is the 4th daughter and 5th child of Leonard & Lanette. She and her husband Jeremy live in Barnet, Vermont, which is only about a 10-minute drive to our home.
Baby Jackson was born in September 2022, adding to the joy and fun of parenting. Jeremy works as a Diesel mechanic and Allissa works part time at a local elementary school, teaching grades K-3. Allissa does communications and social media for Wrights Mountain. In 2020 she became our assistant in helping answer phones and take applications. Now, she mainly does applications, send out communications to upcoming puppy families, and organizes pickup days. She enjoys running our social media accounts and staying connected with our families. Get updates and pictures from families is one of her favorite things about the job. She has had a deep love for animals since she was a small girl, and they love her as well. Questions can be asked to either Lanette or Allissa and all applications are taken by Allissa along with scheduling of pick up and appointment times for visit. Allissa and Jeremy own Sadie and Nova, Poppy, and Tilly. |
Laura is our oldest daughter who lives in Greensboro, Vermont with her husband and children. Laura owns and operates Hillcrest Nursery and husband Warren is a logger and mechanic. From left to right dogs & owners are Molly & Warren IV, Maisy and Laura, Abbie & Warren III, & Misty and Natalie. Laura has always loved animals and has her own little farm with chickens, & rabbits, cows, and some cats and of course her goldens. Laura has taught her children to love animals as well. Natalie shows her cows at the local fairs and Warren has his own business of rent a chicken. Their home is situated on 70+ acres in beautiful Greensboro Vermont

Sarah is our 2nd oldest daughter who lives in the beautiful state of NC. Sarah with her husband Jonathan and 2 children live on a mountain top home with 85 acres overlooking the mountains in a small town in Mill Springs, NC. It is located in the southwestern part of the state. Sarah is a registered nurse and Jonathan has his own grading business. Levi is 14 and a freshman in high school and Leah is 12 and in the 7th grade. The children have learned from an early age what it is like to care for animals. Although their pups are born in NC, they are brought to VT to be sold. They own Princess, Willow, Freedom, Sugar & Spice and a young male golden named Marv.

Ericka and her husband Marcus have bought Grandma & Grandpa Wright's home in the neighboring town of Waterford. Ericka is a NP in Littleton, NH and Marcus is an RN at NVRH in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Their growing family all help with chores. Emma their oldest holding Heart Rose (top back) loves to help deliver the pups and knows how to cut the cord and open the sack as each puppy is born. Mia their youngest is beside Emma loves to hold them and is gentle with them. Marcus their only son helps with chores and Piper always loves to hold the littlest pup. Ericka is pictured with Bella; Marcus is holding Juniper and Piper has a hold of Victory.

Joshua is our only son who lives with his wife and two young boys in Oxford NC, which is located in the northeastern part of the state. Josh is an aviation mechanic. Emmy keeps busy caring for their two young boys. Josh has a small sawmill and excavator and in his spare time he cuts wood and works his land. Joshua owns Iyla and Mya, standard poodles. He also owns Allie, who is a retired golden and two young, upcoming dogs that will be added to our program named Honey and Maverick. Honey is the daughter of Allie and Woodrow. Josh has been living in the south for 11 years but loves visiting New England and brings his family home to Vermont as often as he can. |
Julia is our youngest child and she and her husband Irvin live in Warren, RI with their goldens Chanel and Champy. Champy is still a puppy, but will be joining our program in the future. Julia is a 1st grade teacher. Irvin is a child counselor. Irvin & Julia were married in December 2021. Irvin moved up to New England from Georgia and has grown to love New England as much as Julia does. These pups are Chanels 2nd litter with sire Quincy. Julia would have a barnful of animal if she could.
Her love for animals is amazing and someday hopes to have a home with a barn for chickens and golden puppies to love.
